Children see the world with open eyes and hearts. Everything is fresh and new and exciting. Do you see the world through your child’s eyes?
When we share their joy over the softness of a kitten or the slippery feel of mud between their toes, we share a connection that will stay with them forever. So put the problems of today away and enjoy being a kid again with the most special person in the world, your child. |

SIMPLE STEPS
Kids are not just small adults. To really connect with your kids, communicate with them on their level. Make a habit of kneeling down so your kids can look you in the eye while you talk.
Family meals are a great time to connect with each other. Make meal times unrushed and sit down to the table as a family so you can find out what's going on in school or plan upcoming family activities.

Got the bedtime blues? Never underestimate the power of a good bedtime routine. Turn off electronics - that includes the TV - at least an hour before bedtime. At the same time, switch to quieter activities like books, drawing, or puzzles to create a calm pre-bedtime mood. Then, establish a predictable routine that your baby, toddler, or preschooler can look forward to every night.
What's most important about your routine is that it's calm, quiet, and predictable so that you can ease your child into sleep the same way every night. |
